He tries to get psychoanalysis back to Freud, but within the frame of reference and the terminology of structural linguistics developed in the 19th century developed by the Swiss Ferdinand de Saussure. Most of his works collect his teachings given in the different courses he took. He founds the Freudian School of Paris, which he dissolves some time later.
