Swiss psychologist, biologist and sociologist. Professor of psychology at the University of Geneva and later in the University of Paris. He is a recognized authority in matters of genetic psychology and epistemology, as a result of his research in child psychology. The different stages in the formation of intelligence list them as the sensory-motor, the symbolic-preconceptual thought, the concrete operations and the formal thought. He conceives affective and cognitive life as inseparable and thinks of intelligence as the superior manifestation of human behavior. Due to his valuable career, several universities grant him the title of doctor honoris causa.
