The latest report of Global Digital says after evaluating a total of 82% of the world population that uses the Internet, with ages between 16 and 64 years old and from 150 different countries, the report showed that Brazil is the Latin American country with the largest number of cryptoactive users, followed by Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.
Eight out of ten Internet users in Brazil confirmed that they own some type of cryptocurrency, which led them to occupy fifth place among the countries with the highest number of cryptoactive users in the world. Likewise, 7.7% of Colombian Internet users also affirmed that they possess cryptoactives.
Mexico ranked third among Latin American countries, with a population of Internet users active in the purchase of cryptocurrencies of 5.9%. Argentina, on the other hand, was the last country in Latin America in the Global Digital list, reflecting that 4% of Internet users in the country have cryptocurrencies.
Another important point that was highlighted in the Global Digital Report is that a total of 5.5% of the world’s population of Internet users confirmed that they have cryptocurrencies, taking into account countries such as Russia, Morocco, China and France, among others.
All thanks to the launch of the well-known Fintech Law, which includes the cryptoactive market.
The financial limitations and the lack of banking inclusion in emerging countries, and specifically in Latin American territory, is one of the most outstanding causes for the increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies in Latin America.
