Mathematician and American physicist.

This scientist was directly responsible for the manufacture of the atomic bomb. His stay in Europe serves to deepen his knowledge of quantum theory and wave mechanics.

On the other hand, it collaborates in the investigations that prove the existence of some subatomic particles such as the positron and the meson. In 1941, Oppenheimer puts his knowledge oriented to the project of producing the atomic bomb. The project scientists apply the principles of nuclear fission to the new weapon, managing to control the process, thanks to the contribution of Enrico Fermi.

The first experimental explosion takes place in the desert of New Mexico. Then, the new weapon of war is used, leaving it to fall on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in the year of 19456, and three days later in the city of Nagasaki, where a great number of deaths of tens of thousands of people take place.

During the postwar period, Oppenheimer receives as payment from his government a persecution, caused by his political convictions. He is isolated and stripped of his official positions. His work as a teacher is of special importance, among his students emerge numerous notable figures of science.
